What is Colorado Universal Preschool?
Children who are age 4 on or before October 1 of the school year in which they are eligible can receive at least 15 hours of free preschool each week, with some children qualifying for additional hours based on family or child-specific factors.
Families can choose from a variety of participating providers, including licensed child care centers, family child care homes, school-based preschool programs, and Head Start programs. The program is designed to make high-quality early learning more accessible while giving families the flexibility to select the setting that best meets their child’s needs.
